Aroma Balance: Welcome the Cosy Season

  • Sunday 8 November
  • 2:00–5:00 PM · 3 hours, cacao included
  • ReCoop Health, Nuneaton
  • £45 per person · all materials included

The nights are drawing in, the big jumpers are out, and your body is quietly asking for a slower pace. Let's give it one.

This Potions Club is a sensory afternoon of choosing with your heart instead of your head. I'll hand you a warm cup of cacao, and while you sip I'll share the stories behind the oils: where they come from, what they're known for, and why midwinter has always smelled of resin, spice and evergreen.

Then comes the fun part. You'll smell three mystery oils without knowing their names: a tree, a spice and a citrus. Your nose will tell you which draws you, and once you've chosen, I'll reveal what they are. People are nearly always surprised by what they pick, and nearly always delighted.

Choose your collection

Woodland Walk

A wintry forest in a bottle

Black spruce, pine and frankincense: crisp, green and grounding.

A wintry forest in a bottle — spruce, pine and frankincense

Winter Solstice

Midwinter in a mug

Sweet orange, frankincense and lavender or patchouli: warm, glowing and softly sweet.

You'll turn your chosen blend into five cosy essentials to take home, ready for long baths, early nights and snuggling up at Yule. We'll finish with a room fragrance, with warming clove at its heart.

In Britain, rowan was traditionally planted by the door to guard the home.

What you'll make

  • A pulse point roller in your own blend, for wrists and temples when you need a pause
  • A 100ml shower gel that turns a quick wash into a proper wind-down
  • A 100ml body lotion for tucking yourself in at night
  • A winter aroma inhaler, choosing between two blends: Forest Air, fresh and forest-deep with eucalyptus for easy breathing, or Solstice Glow, sunny, soft and settling
  • A room fragrance on a plaster diffuser disc (included) to hang near a radiator, plus cotton balls to warm on a radiator, in a clove-warmed blend: Solstice Pomander or Cosy Woods

Questions people ask

Do I need to know anything about essential oils?

Not a thing. I'll guide you through every step, and you'll leave knowing far more than when you arrived.

What's in the cacao?

Pure cacao whisked with hot oat milk and a hint of spice. If cacao isn't for you, or you're pregnant or on heart or antidepressant medication, there's a caffeine-free alternative. Just let me know.

I'm pregnant, have asthma or have sensitive skin. Can I still come?

Very likely, yes. Some of the oils, such as clove and eucalyptus, need a lighter touch or a swap, so please tell me on the booking form and I'll tailor your oils and quantities. I'm a clinical aromatherapist and pregnancy care specialist, so you're in safe hands.

What time are the sessions?

All Potions Club sessions run from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (3 hours total, including cacao and refreshments).

Can teenagers attend?

Yes! Under-16s are welcome but must be accompanied by a booking adult.

What is the cancellation & transfer policy?

Due to the preparation and botanical materials required, we have a strict no cancellations and no transfers policy.

What happens if I cannot attend on the day?

If you are unable to make it to the session, a DIY workshop kit complete with step-by-step instructions will be provided so you can make your blends at home.

How many places are available?

To ensure an intimate, hands-on experience, each session is strictly limited to 20 places.

How long will my products last?

The roller, shower gel and lotion are best used within three months. The inhaler keeps its oomph for about three months too, so it will see you right through winter.

Small print

The products you make are for cosmetic and aromatic use. They're a lovely support for your winter wellbeing, but they aren't a medical treatment and don't replace advice from your GP. Essential oils are flammable, so please keep your room fragrance away from naked flames and very hot surfaces, and out of reach of children and pets.
