Brookes Therapy Training

ONE-DAY TRAINING · GTI ACCREDITED · NUNEATON, WARWICKSHIRE

I'll Teach You Indian Head Massage in a Day — No Experience Needed

This is the full sequence — upper back, shoulder, upper arm, neck, scalp and face — taught properly, hands-on, in a single day. I'll take you through the technique and the Ayurvedic theory behind it — marma points, chakras, the history that gives this treatment its depth — so you leave actually able to do it, not just imitate what you watched.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You don't need to be a therapist to start this - I mean that

I keep this course genuinely open. The only real requirement is meeting GTi Professional Standards, not a qualification you already need to hold. Here's who tends to turn up.

Hairdressers

Add a treatment your clients will rebook you for. I train a lot of hairdressers specifically because Indian Head Massage sits so naturally alongside what you already do - no massage background needed.

Therapists

Extend your existing client list with a treatment that's genuinely in demand. You'll walk away with 29 CPD points and a GTi Professional Qualification recognised for insurance - no messing about.

Anyone Who Wants a Real Skill

Some people book this just to learn something real - for a partner, a parent, a friend. No professional plans required. Just an afternoon well spent, and a skill you'll actually use.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

One day, the whole treatment - I don't teach a shortened version

Technique for upper back, shoulder, upper arm, neck, scalp and face massage - the complete sequence, and I'll teach it to you hands-on, not from the front of a room.

Theory that unlocks the day you book - history, anatomy & physiology, marma points and chakras, worked through online at whatever pace suits you.

Reception, consultation and aftercare - plus contra-indications, so you can treat safely from your very first client.

A GTi Professional Award, awarded through Beauty Guild once you've passed your practical assessment with me.

29 CPD points - for therapists building out a proper professional portfolio.

A cohort of six students or fewer - because that's how many I can actually give proper hands-on attention to in a day.

Postgraduate mentorship — business-building support to help you turn your new qualification into paying clients.

Case study guidance — optional support if you'd like help structuring your post-course case studies.

Taught by Someone Who Does This Every Day

Lindsey Brookes

Lindsey Brookes — Therapist, Educator & Founder of Brookes Therapies

Lindsey Brookes

Lindsey has been practising as a professional therapist for over 15 years and teaching bodywork for much of that time. She holds an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Complementary Therapies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Aromatherapy Blending, advanced qualifications in massage and a Level 3 Adult Education and Teaching Diploma — so she's as qualified in how to teach as she is in what she's teaching.

What that means in practice: her courses aren't built around a textbook. They're built around the real questions, common mistakes and genuine challenges that come up when you work with actual clients — because she deals with them every day. You're learning from someone with current, active clinical experience, not someone who trained years ago and has been teaching ever since.

Her teaching style is calm, encouraging and individual. She notices where each student needs support and adjusts her guidance accordingly — the same approach she takes with her clients, applied to her students.

Professional Credentials You Can Trust

  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 VTCT Complementary Therapies

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Aromatherapy Blending

  • Advanced Massage Techniques qualification

  • Hot Stone Massage, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage

  • Adult Education & Teaching Diploma Level 3

  • Reiki Master & Teacher

  • Clinical training experience at Royal Marsden Hospital (aromatherapy for respiratory support, wound care, pain and fatigue)

When you train with Lindsey, you're not just learning a skill — you're learning it from someone whose livelihood depends on doing it well.

Taught by Me, Not a Rotating Cast of Tutors

Photo — Lindsey Brookes, training a student

I've been practising complementary and holistic therapies since 2010, and teaching them since 2017 — training students face-to-face, in small groups, from my own clinic here in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, rather than a classroom I'm borrowing for the day.

Every practical day is taught by me, in person, not delegated out. With cohorts kept to six students or fewer, that means I'm actually correcting your hand positioning and pressure as you go — not demonstrating once at the front of a crowded room and hoping it sticks.

Graduate Stories

What students say

"I was looking for someone to teach me Indian head massage and Lindsey was recommended to me by a friend. I never wanted to learn full body massage — just holistic treatments to complement my Reiki. I loved every moment of learning with Lindsey; she is a fountain of knowledge and always gives more. Her way of sharing her knowledge and supporting our growth has really benefited my own treatments. I can't thank this lovely lady enough."

CD

Caroline Daffern, Holistic Therapist (Reiki & Reflexology)

"I have completed several courses with Lindsey, including Chakra Balancing, Crystal Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Full Body Massage, Ear Candling, and Reflexology. I keep coming back because of her teaching methods — online theory before practicals, then hands-on sessions that are casual, friendly, supportive and fun. Lindsey is so knowledgeable and shares how you can combine different modalities to create wonderful holistic experiences. And the support doesn't end at the end of a course — there's a hub to chat to other students and swap tips. I would 100% recommend learning with Lindsey, one of the best decisions I've made."

Frequently Asked

Before you book

Do I need any experience?

No. I teach complete beginners and qualified therapists side by side on this one — there's no prior massage qualification needed to book.

Is it properly accredited?

Yes — you'll gain a GTi Professional Qualification, awarded through Beauty Guild, which is recognised for professional insurance.

Is this a Level 3 Diploma?

No — this is a GTi Professional Award, not an Ofqual-regulated Level 3 Diploma. If that's specifically what you need, get in touch and I'll point you toward the right course.

Can I pay in instalments?

Not for this one. It's £175, paid in full when you book — no deposit or payment plan option.

What if none of the group dates work for me?

Once you've booked and paid, just get in touch and I'll arrange a personal one-to-one practical day instead — at no extra cost.

How many people are in each group?

Six or fewer. I keep it that way so you get proper hands-on time with me, not a demonstration from across the room.

What happens as soon as I book?

Your online theory modules unlock immediately — history, anatomy, marma points, chakras and more — so you can start learning before your practical day even arrives.

Where is training held?

At my clinic — Brookes Therapy Training, based at ReCoop Health, Aston Road, Nuneaton CV11 5DT. See the "Getting Here" section above for road, rail and parking details.

Not ready to book yet?

Pop your details below and I'll let you know the moment new Indian Head Massage dates open — or if it's one of my other courses you're after, tell me that instead.
