I built this course to work for whoever walks through the door - you don't need to have trained in anything before, and if you have, this slots straight into what you already offer.

You've never trained as a therapist
You don't need any background in therapy or beauty to start here. I'll take you through the theory from first principles - the ear, the technique, safe practice - so you arrive at the practical day ready and confident.
PRACTISING THERAPISTS
You're adding to an existing menu
If you're already qualified in massage, reflexology or facials, this is a quick, focused addition. Move through the theory at your own pace and use the practical day to refine technique and get signed off.
About the Treatment
What Thermal Auricular Therapy actually is
Most people know this treatment by its common name, ear candling - a warm, relaxing treatment using a hollow, fabric-wrapped candle placed gently at the entrance of the ear canal. "Thermal Auricular Therapy" is the professional term you'll use once you're trained and insured, and it's the name I'll teach you to use with confidence when you talk to clients, insurers and other practitioners.
It's a gentle, calming treatment that clients love for the sense of warmth and relaxation it brings - a genuinely lovely addition to a treatment room, whether as a standalone service or alongside massage, facials or reflexology.

I'm Lindsey, and I've been practising therapies since 2010 and teaching therapists since 2017. I run every practical day myself - no handing you off to an assistant - because I want to see exactly how you're holding the candle, how you're talking to your client, and where you need a nudge of confidence.
I keep cohorts small on purpose. Four people means I can watch each of you practise properly, answer your questions as they come up, and make sure you leave genuinely ready to offer this treatment - not just ticked off a list.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need any previous experience to book?
No. This course is designed to work for complete beginners as well as practising therapists. If you're starting from scratch, I'll walk you through everything from first principles.
What's the difference between "ear candling" and "Thermal Auricular Therapy"?
They're the same treatment. Thermal Auricular Therapy is the professional, clinical name you'll use once qualified — the term recognised by GTi and by insurers — while ear candling is simply the name most clients will already know it by.
What happens after I book?
You'll receive your enrolment email within 24 hours, giving you access to the self-paced online theory. Once you've made progress through that, I'll be in touch to schedule your half-day practical training at ReCoop Health in Nuneaton.
Is the course insurable straight away?
Yes. This is a GTi-accredited qualification, so on completion of both the theory and the supervised practical day, you'll be fully insurable to practise Thermal Auricular Therapy professionally.
What's included in the £150?
Your place includes the full theory course, your half-day supervised practical training with me, your GTi-accredited certificate, and a complete set of ear candles to take home and start using straight away.
Can I add mentoring or case study sessions later?
Yes — both business mentoring and optional case study practice sessions are available on request after your training, whenever you feel ready for that extra support.
